Summer Exhibition 2022

3 July 2022 — 23 September 2022

Colnaghi presented an array of the finest Old Master and Ancient masterworks for our Summer
Exhibition, which opened during London Art Week Summer edition, 2022. A highlight was Antonio
Joli's serene view of Paestum, 1759, which reflects the renewed interest in antiquity during the
Italian Baroque. Other spotlighted works included Rodrigo de Villandrando’s intricately
detailed Portrait of a Noblewoman, c. 1620, a beautiful terracotta portrait bust by Charles Adrien
Prosper d'Epinay (1836–1914) of Sarah Bernhardt as Hermione, c. 1903, and an important work
by the female Renaissance artist, Fede Galizia, Still life of apples, pears, cucumbers, figs and a
melon, c. 1625 – 1630.
